The Retrace project running for the REGIOSTARS Awards 2020

The RETRACE project – A Systemic Approach for REgions TRAnsitioning towards a Circular Economy, of which Mesap is stakeholder, participates in the 2020 edition of the Regiostars Award in the category Sustainable growth /Circular economy for a green Europe.

The Award – organised by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Regional and Urban Policy – aims to identify good practices in regional development and to highlight innovative EU-funded projects that could be adopted in other local areas. The award ceremony will take place during the European Week of Regions and Cities 2020 next October.

Retrace promotes the adoption of a Systemic Approach as a methodology for the elaboration of local policies aimed at supporting the transition towards a circular economy. Coordinated by the Department of Architecture and Design of the Politecnico and winner of the European Call for Proposals Interreg, RETRACE involves 8 public partners and more than 70 subjects from 5 European countries (Italy, Spain, France, Romania and Slovenia).
