FIT4FoF: Final event hosted at Skillman International Forum 2021

On 18 November, the final event of the European project FIT4FoF took place in the framework of the Skillman International Forum 2021. This meeting celebrated the work carried out by all partners since September 2018 in terms of: analysis of job scenarios in the Factory of the Future, identification of new professional profiles, soft and hard skills, learning and adoption of the ICoED methodology and development of the 4 pilot actions carried out in Italy, Romania, Ireland and Spain.

The Italian pilot action, coordinated by MESAP, started in March at MTS Srl – Meccanica Tonel Sergio and in collaboration with colleagues from UCN – University College of Northern Denmark. Find out more here.

At the end of the final event, the award ceremony was held for the best European upskilling initiative, selected among more than 50, from 17 different countries, collected in the project’s Upskilling Digital Catalogue: the winning initiative is REWO, an upskilling training activity dedicated to manufacturing companies.

The IoT4Industry wave continues: MYWAI4QM™ an example of innovation, collaboration and success

In December 2018, start-up Knowhedge S.r.l. got in touch with MESAP and joined the first call of the European project IoT4Industry, thanks to which it received funding for the prototype of MYWAI4QM™: an IoT edge computing device that provides highly secure and reliable artificial neural networks (ANNs) directly on the edge of industrial production belts and workplaces, enabling fault analysis and visual inspection from remote service centres in real time, reducing waste volumes and downtime.

A little over two years after the funding received, MYWAI S.r.l. was inaugurated, a research centre hosted at the Polo Tecnologico di Sestri Levante, dedicated to the most innovative topics in the IT panorama. A fine example in terms of innovation and expression of the positive externalities produced through the European projects of which MESAP is an active part.
